This page explains how Sefer İptal’s follow list, browser storage and requests to the site work. You do not need an account or ticket and payment details to follow a sailing.
My trips is saved in this browser
Followed sailings are saved in your browser’s local storage (localStorage). The saved record includes the selected sailing’s direction, date, time, last displayed status and estimate, the time you followed it and a limited status history. The list is not linked to an account and the site does not synchronize it across devices. Someone using the same device and browser profile may see it. If browser storage is blocked, the list may not persist; the page displays a storage warning.
Removing saved records
Unfollow a sailing to remove it from the list. To clear all locally saved records, delete seferiptal.com site data in your browser’s settings; this resets your follow list. The application does not set an automatic deletion period for the local follow list. Private browsing and browser storage settings can affect how long it persists.
Requests used to retrieve sailing information
Local storage does not mean that refreshing a sailing makes no network requests. When you search or refresh followed sailings, your browser sends requests containing the relevant route and date range to Sefer İptal. The application does not upload the entire follow list or its local status history as an account profile. Information refreshes regularly while the page is open and visible. The application does not send follow notifications while the page is closed.
The address bar, shared links and language
Selected departure, arrival and date can appear in the page URL. A person receiving a shared link can see that selection; the URL may also appear in browser history and is sent to the server when the page is requested. Language is determined by the Turkish or English page URL; the current language choice is not saved in a preference cookie.
Hosting, technical records and analytics
Cloudflare delivers this website. Page and sailing-information requests are processed by the hosting infrastructure to operate and protect the service; this network activity includes connection and request information. Server observability is enabled, so we do not claim that no technical records are kept. Cloudflare Web Analytics is enabled; pages may load a measurement script for visits and page performance. Cloudflare’s analytics documentation describes these measurements. This page does not claim that all infrastructure and analytics data is anonymous or deleted after a specific period.
Cookies and external links
The current sailing tracker stores its list in localStorage; its application code does not write cookies for the follow list or language preference. This does not mean hosting and security services never use cookies. When you follow links to IDO or other sources, those services’ practices apply. The email link opens your own email application; the address and message you send are transmitted through email providers.
